Doobe & the Accomplices
-
Kent Doobrow
Guitar ~ Vocals
I started singing with my musician friends at a very young age. I bought my first guitar for $100 at Greene's Gospel Music in Boone, NC in 1983. I acoustically assaulted my friends learning to play for years...........not much has changed!
I played in many states around the US solo and with my great friend and amazing player, Kev Martin. Midnight Sun and Bad Kenny Band were the most recent collaborations over the last twenty years.
I met Isaac Miller at a local concert and after a brief conversation and once he told me he played Dobro, I knew there was a future together.............having never yet played together. We invited Thomas Ruhe on Upright Bass and the Trio was born. I love where we are currently and I love where we will go! My favorite pastime is writing new songs!

Isaac Miller
Dobro ~ Vocals
Isaac lives in Winston Salem with his wife and 3 pet cats. He was drawn to music at a young age and started playing the dobro at the age of 10. He plays multiple instruments but lap slide remains his primary focus. Isaac has been a part of numerous local bands with bluegrass, folk, Americana, blues, roots, rock, and jam-band influences, and often attends local improv jams to continue cutting his teeth with improvisational music. He appreciates an eclectic musical experience drawing inspiration from many genres, and is constantly looking for new ways to push the limits of his instrument.

Thomas Ruhe
Upright Bass ~ Vocals
Thomas started taking piano lessons when he was seven. In middle school he picked up his brothers classical guitar and studied music at Penn Griffin throughout high school. Along the way he started playing in the local High Point band, Purple House and various other bands including In Rotation and The Nitrogen Tone. He takes influence from many genres including jazz, rock, folk, classical, electronic, metal and hip pop.
Thomas met Kent through mutual High Point connections and filled in playing bass with Kent’s super group for a benefit concert. Always open to new projects and ideas, Kent invited him to become an Accomplice, and history was made. He also enjoys gardening and long walks on the beach.
